Mr. Bob Lavergne

Vice President Business Development – IWI Canada

Bob Lavergne Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Planning for IWI has over 30 years experience in the design, supply, manufacturing and implementation of communications systems and other industrial technologies. As a strong believer in a “safer workplace equals a more productive workplace” Bob looks at new innovative ways at using technologies to increase productivities while improving safety in hazardous workplaces.

Graduated at the top of the class in Electronics Engineering Technologies and later in business development, business management and the most recent achievement successfully completed Technical Entrepreneurship from Harvard University online.

His experience in mining allowed him to travel to 18 Countries where he designed, implemented, and managed many projects including communications, location tracking, ventilation control, muck management and automation. This experienced allowed him to create and develop his “brainchild” Mine Tracker, a software product that bridged the gap between multiple technologies and bringing information to surface. This product is still used in many mines around the world today.
